Feeling revived!

I'm back from Tennessee. Need I tell ya'll what fun we had!! We have such a good time together.....just hanging out......doing nothing but scrapping and watching movies!!
Speaking of movies.......I got in soooo much trouble for forgetting "our" movie that we ALWAYS watch! Diary of a Mad Black Woman!!!!!!! Had to rent it....watched it twice. If any of you haven't seen it.......there are a few still out there!........it's a great chick flick! It will make you laugh....cry.....and laugh again! Highly recommended from me! I got a good bit of scrapping done and one really cute altered project completed! Really good for me....as a lot of times I talk more than I scrap!!!!!

I am glad to be home.....it's been a very quiet day here. I am embarrassed to say that I've spent most of my day catching up on the Scrap Etc. MB!! NEVER thought I'd ever be hooked on a MB!! That black hole keeps sucking me in! lol! It's a fun MB......easy to navigate around in there and I love the friends I've made!!!

Now, if I can only win a spot!!! Or, just anything!!! I'm thinking of having my DH post over there!! Man! He is the luckiest person ever about winning things! REally! I've thought of asking him, but, he just may really decide to put me in the looney house if I do!!!! ha! hee!!

Friends keep you going!

I am about to go on a scrapping trip to see my girlfriends in Athens, Tennessee. I can't say in words just how excited I am that I will be with them until Sunday!!! This trip could not have come at a better time. Stress is getting the best of me and I need to take a "chill pill". These girls will give me a GREAT BIG DOSE of that!!! They will let me laugh, gripe, drink some special juice, cry..........they love me for who I am........and I love them the same. We have so much fun together........no one would believe it!! I treasure each and every hour with them.
True friends are hard to come by........these ladies are the kind of friends that I know if I called them in the middle of the night for help......they'd be there for me...every step of the way.

Go and give your friends a hug if you live close by......or, pick up that telephone and say that you were thinking about them!! I'm getting all sappy right now.....so it's time to end this post!!

Making Progress!!

Here I sit.....feeling ever so proud of myself!! I actually got my blog address put on my Scrap Etc MB site today! Don't ask me how I did it!!! It's there!!! Whoo Hooo!!! Now, I know that this little blog of mine isn't interesting like some that you read.....but, it's a MAJOR accomplishment for me to have. Mainly, I want to share pictures here with my friends/family. I said that in this NEW YEAR I was going to learn more on the computer, and I'm keeping my promise.....slowly, but surely!!!! What fun!!! I'll take any advice you have to offer......just speak in "easy" terms!!! hee! hee!!! Have a great day!!!!

This is me with my new found friend Mary! We hooked up before Christmas and it was instant friendship!!!! Just "good ole' girls"!!!!!!

Rylee, Mary's oldest daughter and Alyssa, Monique's oldest. They hit it off as friends the first time that they met each other!!! They are ADORABLE! And, full of personality!!!

Angie, aka lattequeen.....with Carol, and Mary. Angie posted on the board that she was coming to the event alone and not knowing anyone. Well, Monique's marbles started rolling around in that head of hers and she decided to throw a party!! Monique wanted people to come and meet up with some of the persons that were coming to the Event, and to be able to put names with faces of the people that frequent the Message board. (and the lurkers!) Around 40 - 50 people showed up and it turned out to be a blast!!!

This is Ryann, Mary's youngest daughter. The chocolate fountain was a big hit! Mary and Monique's little girls especially enjoyed it!!!

Mary made these pictures of Sally (aka Native Texan), on the left...and of Cyndi (aka Disney Queen), on the right. They couldn't come to the party because it was too far......soooo, Mary made them and brought them along. I called and talked to Cyndi for a minute....couldn't really hear...it was so loud. Called Sally....but got her message machine. We had a ton of fun meeting some of the women that we "chat" with on the boards and some of the "lurkers".

Meeting new friends!!

Wow!! I am so glad that I got to be a part of the Trussville / Scrap Etc. Party on Sunday nite!!! What fun!!! To meet new people.......people that "understand" your addiction to scrapbooking!!! No funny looks.....just nice people. Some that I met, I could tell right off that we were kindred spirits!! I can't wait to do it again. At this time in my life, I needed this "get together" more than even I thought I did!!! Thanks ladies for a fun and crazy evening!!!

Boring!

Well, here it is January 13th! Yep! that's soooo right! I haven't gotten the "gist" of this blogging yet........maybe I wasn't ready to "cross over"! Ha!!! Or, maybe...my life is just not that interesting for the world yet! I don't even go to other peoples blogs on a regular basis. On occasion, yes.....but not often. not even my sister's blog!! that's terrible isn't it!!! go to go......time is a 'wasting!

Holy Moly! Am I hormonal or what!! Ever have those days where you feel this way?!! Well, I've been "thinking" about what I wrote earlier and I have gotten myself back on track so to speak. So, here I sit......feeling better. :) I know that "things" will work out.....I really do need to chill out some! Hee!

Standing Still

Have you ever felt like you were just going through the motions of life and still standing still? Watching everyone carry on with their lives, making plans......not knowing WHEN..WHERE.....or WHAT to make plans for? I have had that feeling for a while now. Ready to move on........ With Chris' job ending in March, the waiting is stressing me out! Leads on a job here...interview here.......just waiting on the final decision...........WHERE? I am just holding it all in and I think at times that my mind is going to burst! NOT KNOWING! The hardest part!!

I am going to go walking with my DH tonight. This walking trail is very pretty, especially at night with all the lights in the trees and on the ground. Maybe if I do this with him.....I'll "simma" down a little. My family will love me better for it!! Ha~~

CP's Scrap Etc. Challenge

This is my challenge page that I tried to upload to the Scrap Etc. Message board. I am so embarrassed and pissed at myself for "not knowing" how to do all this 'computer' stuff! This picture was taken with my digital camera and then uploaded. I AM GOING to learn how to do some of these kinds of things on the computer......when I do !!!! Watch out!!!

Here I sit.....should be doing the laundry....SHOULD be taking down my Christmas decorations! Oh but NO! I'm sitting here stalking the www.scrapetc.net MB!! .... talking to my friend Mary....which I love to do! I want to play with this blog and get it going.......man I AM computer challenged! I am going to get my hiney up right this minute and do just that!!! Then, after a couple of hours......I think I'll reward myself and come back out and play!
